Fall 2024

Garkane will be working on a yearlong project to upgrade all its meters throughout its service territory. This fall we will be starting in areas of phase 1, which includes:

  • Phase 1 in Kanab will be members fed out of the old Johnson Canyon sub plus the members north in the canyon.
  • Phase 1 in Hatch will be all the members in Spry
  • Phase 1 in Loa will be the area out of the Lyman sub fed from the Lyman feeder.

We will be contracting with a company called Allegient Utility Services. The Technician's name is Harry Renwrick, and although he is not an employee of Garkane, he is contracted to do work on behalf of Garkane. Here's a chance to get to know him since he will be working in our area for quite a while.

Harry Renwrick is a highly skilled and professional Meter Installation Technician that has completed several projects for Allegiant over the past couple of years.  Harry has provided the community of Garkane Energy with some additional information about himself below.

“My name is Harry Renwrick, and my home town is located in South Carolina. I’ve been involved in the AMI deployment industry for 3 years now and I’ve had the pleasure of working on multiple different projects throughout the Midwest and the east coast which involved cold winters in North Dakota and hot summers in Florida.  I’ve changed at least 100,000 meters plus over the past 3 years.  In my free time, I love to sight see, fish and spend time with family. It’s been an honor being in this line of business and I’m looking forward to a new journey with Garkane Energy.”
